A New Release Under Parallel Vision
Los Angeles based indie rock band Common People released their new single "Shapeshift" on October 2. The track arrived via the Parallel Vision and Big Loud Rock labels. Produced by Brad Shultz of Cage The Elephant, the single follows the live debut performance of the song at the Rolling Stone Rock Tour in New York City.
Building Momentum
Formed in Los Angeles in 2022, Common People have been building their catalog alongside Shultz. Earlier in the spring, the band released their debut EP "Games", which was also produced by the Cage The Elephant guitarist. The group has quickly established a live presence over the last couple of years. They have shared stages with Cage The Elephant, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Young The Giant, The Criticals, and The Bends. Their festival appearances include sets at the Innings Festival, Bonnaroo's Outeroo, and the Minnesota Yacht Club.
We came back from a night out in LA and the song kinda appeared. We started singing the chorus together with some friends and dancing around, Change can be good and bad at the same time; that middle ground is a cool place to explore.

Hitting The Road
The band continues their live schedule through the fall. Common People will play Weekend 2 of the Austin City Limits festival. They also have an extensive run of dates supporting acts like Brigitte Calls Me Baby and The Bends across the United States and Canada into November.
