A New Chapter in Brooklyn
Singer and songwriter Alaina May has released her new single, "Tourniquet," which arrived on September 18. Originally from a suburb outside Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and having attended college in Boston, May relocated to New York in 2025. The new track emerges from her first year in the city, exploring a period when she was caught between trying to move on from a relationship and still wanting it back.

"Tourniquet" follows May's prior singles, "The Dog" and "Casual." Those earlier releases have amassed more than 500,000 cumulative streams.
