Sunset Salore pares Tame Impala's "Dracula - Live at Humble Studios" down to piano and voice for a haunting, lo-fi alternative pop reinterpretation recorded live at Humble Studios in Melbourne. The two were captured simultaneously on a single condenser mic, and the intimacy of that setup suits this understated performance beautifully.

Released on October 16, 2026, the single is the Belfast-born, Melbourne-based artist's first release since the debut EP Love Kills the Monsters two years ago. It's part of the one take Tuesdays series, bridging the gap to original music planned for 2027.

The piano's slow, gently played chords give the breathy vocal plenty of room. Salore moves between sustained, wordless notes and more rhythmic phrasing, keeping the delivery close and unhurried. There's a lovely touch of urgency in the descending vocal hook, enough to sharpen the melody while preserving the subdued mood. That restraint is the performance's strongest feature. Salore gets a great deal out of small changes in vocal intensity.

The music is really about acknowledging the moments that have passed, realising they are defining moments, and growing from them

That reflective outlook fits the recording's patient pace and melancholy warmth. The accompaniment keeps attention on the singing, and Salore holds it comfortably without pushing for a big dramatic payoff.

Salore has the confidence to keep this interpretation spare and the vocal control to make every small shift count.
