"Void" stops you cold before you've had a second to adjust. Stercore open with this coiling, dystopian dread that feels almost mechanical... and then the weight drops and everything turns crushing. The tempo lurches between frantic blast-heavy sections and slow suffocating breakdowns and neither end of that spectrum feels safe.
What hooked me hardest was the glitch work. Stutter edits and fracture effects don't just sit in the background here, they take over the mix entirely during interludes, becoming the rhythm itself. Disorienting in the best way. The whole track carries this cybernetic menace, cold and hostile and alive all at once.
The vocals are brutal and precise, deep guttural growls giving way to high abrasive shrieks and the delivery stays relentlessly rhythmic across both registers so neither one ever feels like a gear-shift... more like two faces of the same aggression.
Then the ending. A dramatic pitch-drop drags the track to a near-crawl before it abruptly cuts and I sat there for a second unsure what just happened to me.
