Music by Jeremy opens "Do Birds Sing the News" with just an acoustic guitar and a vocals that sound like it's talking directly to you. Then, around the 1:19 mark, the whole thing lifts.

The verses are fingerpicked and spare, warm steel-string carrying the weight while the voice stays close and breathy, almost cautious. Then the drums come in, the bass settles underneath, ambient pads spread wide, and suddenly you're in a different room. That transition earns every second of what follows. I kept going back to it.

When the chorus opens up, the voice stretches into those high notes with a rawness that sounds like it costs something. Not a performance. More like a confession that got too big to stay quiet.

Jeremy does not simply present feelings; he interrogates them, examining the distance between what people are promised and what they ultimately receive, the difficulty of authentic connection and the courage required to change

The lyrics circle around birds, warnings, nature... imagery that reads simple until it doesn't.

Scenes from a Well Worn Path is shaping up to be something I'm going to keep my ears on. This one stuck.
