Lexi Lou's debut single "Pink" comes out swinging. Clean, punchy bass, bright synth stabs cutting through the mix, and a beat that pulled me straight to my feet before the first verse was even done. For a debut, this thing sounds locked in.
The hook is the whole engine. That repeating "Pink" chant just drills into your skull... I caught myself mouthing it a full hour after I'd stopped listening. Simple idea, but the production gives it this sharp, bright snap that makes it feel bigger than its parts.
What floored me was the vocal delivery. Lexi flips between a rhythmic rap cadence and punchy chanted runs with zero hesitation, and on the hook her voice cuts clean and bright, like she's daring you to keep up.
Confident. No wobble in it at all.
The whole track carries this lighthearted, playful energy that fits the theme, being yourself, owning your colour, not apologising for any of it. Everything stays sharp and fun. Nothing dark, nothing moody, just bright and alive.
Strong first move from a London artist worth watching.
