Flo Frequency's "Only You" opens with warm electric piano chords that settle before you've even registered the song has started, and then the saxophone arrives… weaving around the lead vocal like it's mid-conversation rather than filling space. That detail stopped me cold.
The verses are hushed, almost close-mic intimate, and then the chorus just opens. The voice cracks into a full soaring belt right at the peak of the hook, I replayed that moment three times before I could move on. That kind of control makes a song feel lived-in.
Pure soul. Modern bones.
Producer Nav Bhatt lays syncopated drum programming under round, resonant basslines and the mid-tempo groove never rushes, never sags. Multi-tracked harmonies stack up in the back half and the whole thing swells into something with actual mass behind it. The late ad-libs are confident and loose at once, which is harder than it sounds.
"Only You" sits among the best moments on Infinite Light. Flo Frequency and Nav Bhatt built something here that stays warm from the first bar straight through to that last trailing saxophone note.
