Pray Silence's new single "Liminalland" wastes zero time. The driving rhythm section locks in immediately and just doesn't stop, pushing everything forward at a pace that feels almost desperate. I wasn't ready for how fast it moves.
What floors me most is the lead vocals: raw and screamed at the open, then collapsing into frantic, repeated chanting that sounds less like a performance and more like someone losing it in real time, voice shredding at the edges under the weight of it all. Not pretty. That's the point.
The whole track carries this unpolished, early 2000s post-hardcore energy... like someone found an old Thursday record and decided to make something even more urgent. There's a sardonic bite to the lyrics too, which keeps it from feeling like pure cathartic noise. It's pointed. It's got something to say.
Pure relentless momentum.
After "Kill Room" earlier this year, I was curious where Pray Silence would go next. "Liminalland" leans further into the chaos, and I'm here for every uncomfortable second of it.
