A New Chapter for Offset

Multi-platinum superstar Offset returned to the spotlight yesterday with the release of "Something I Need." The new single, which arrived via Motown Records, finds the artist leaning into a sleek and confident new style. Production on the track was handled by a collaborative team consisting of Southside, Smatt Sertified, and Jester Beats.

Cinematic Visuals from Miami

Accompanying the single is a cinematic music video filmed in Miami. Directed by MikeyRare and SheShe Pendleton, the visual captures the rapper partying on a yacht. The release of "Something I Need" opens a new era for Offset, whose birth name is Kiari Cephus, following the extensive promotional run for his introspective 2025 album KIARI and its subsequent deluxe edition.

Building on Past Successes

Offset's solo journey began with the Gold-certified Father of Four in 2019, followed by Set It Off in 2023. KIARI Deluxe featured a BNYX mix of the track "Bodies" with J.I.D. and a Drowning Pool sample, leading to a performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The KIARI project also spawned videos for "Different Species" with Gunna, "Back in That Mode" with YFN Lucci, "Favorite Girl" featuring Ty Dolla $ign, "Run It Up" featuring Key Glock, and "Pills" with NBA YoungBoy.
