Ottawa rapper and producer Night Lovell returned on August 28 with his new album, My Blood As The Ink. Released through G59 Records, the project marks his first new music since his 2023 album I Hope You're Happy. The underground hip-hop release continues to build on his established sound and uncompromising approach.

The album is anchored by the lead single "Run" and the track "Sick & Tired", the latter of which delves into one-sided relationships. "Run" explores distrust, ambition, and the pursuit of success amidst chaos. Its accompanying music video, directed by Gab Bois and Thomas Pilgrim, depicts Lovell attempting to escape relentless terrors. The broader project heavily examines identity, perception, and the stark contrast between who Lovell actually is and how the public views him.
