"My Heart May Slumber" is the first preview track from Krumbukten, and it makes a really impressive entrance.

The track wastes no setup time. Drums, a pulsing bass, and swirling synth pads arrive together, full and driving from the outset. A bright melodic synth line cuts in right after. That's the hook. Sharp, recurring, and it carries the entire song.

When the lead vocal enters, the bright synth steps back. Smart move that makes your full attention get arrested. The delivery is breathy and smooth, heavily reverbed, sitting in a mid-to-high register with an almost weightless quality. The chorus sections bring the synth melody back alongside backing vocals and the density lift lands naturally rather than feeling forced.

Midway through, the vocals drop out entirely. Just the rhythm section and that synth lead holding the arrangement together. It works because the hook is strong enough to carry the weight.

The final stretch is the best part. The lead vocal shifts into wordless passages that wrap around the synth melody, pushing toward the apex. After that, a sustained final chord. Then silence.

As album previews go, this one sets a serious tone for Behind The Glass.
