The Alberta-based artist constructs the track around thick driving guitars, but those rhythmic handclaps in the verses bring a grounded, tactile feel to the this production. I love that the lyrics tackle overcoming mistakes and finding new beginnings, anchoring the heavy sound in something real.
Then the chorus hits, shifting the entire atmosphere. The lead vocal delivers a crisp, soaring tone full of conviction that cuts straight through the heavy instrumentation before exploding into vast, multi-tracked harmonies.
