A New Direction for In Color

Nashville-based alternative band In Color returned on September 11, 2026, with the release of their new track 'Marionette.' Issued via Big Loud Rock, the single arrives alongside an accompanying music video. The release marks a shift into darker territory for the group, delivering a gripping exploration of the lingering control a past lover can wield.

Building on Breakthrough Success

The arrival of 'Marionette' follows the significant impact of the band's breakout debut single, 'Headlights.' Featured on their 2025 debut EP, 'Snow Day', the track became their first No. 1 at Alternative Radio. It also surged into the Top 3 of Billboard's Alternative Airplay chart. To date, 'Headlights' has garnered nearly 40 million global streams across digital service providers.

Marionette encapsulates the feeling of remaining tied to a person after you've called it quits and tried to live life on your own. The way that your body remembers and stores experience even when you've done all the work to block it out of your brain. Sonically, it toes the line between 90's hard-hitting trip-hop/sample-based loops, modern electropop, and '80s rock.
