Amourie T.'s new single "Turbulence" opens with a soft wash of synth pads and piano that just settles over you, and before you've fully registered what's happening, her voice pulls you in. The kind of track that rewards sitting still with it.
Her vocal delivery is airy and close, like she's thinking out loud, and there's a slight catch in her tone on the more exposed lines that makes the whole thing feel like it was recorded the same night she wrote it. Which, apparently, it was. She wrote "Turbulence" in under an hour during what she described as "a very conflicting time" in her life, and you can feel exactly that... every contemplative pause, every uncertain turn in the melody.
The production keeps everything understated. Electronic percussion sits way back in the mix, the synth textures stay warm rather than showy, and that restraint is what lets the song breathe.
Straight vulnerability.
"Turbulence" is the lead-up to her debut EP Clumsy, due 18 September 2026, and if this is what she sounds like when she's figuring things out, I want the full release now.
